For too long, Black communities have been excluded from decision-making, land ownership, and economic opportunities. To create real change, we must shift power back into the hands of the people—ensuring Black-led cooperatives have control over their businesses, resources, and futures.
Push for laws that give Black cooperatives more control over funding, land, and governance.

At Black Co-op CIC, we're implementing several approaches to shift power to communities:

We provide training and mentorship to develop a new generation of cooperative leaders who can guide their communities toward economic self-determination.
We're creating financial mechanisms that allow community members to invest in local cooperatives, keeping wealth circulating within the community.
